Feeding
Just scoop the amount of freeze-dried food indicated below into your pet's bowl, rehydrate by adding one part warm water or bone broth to two parts freeze dried & serve! Discard uneaten rehydrated food after 2 hours.
Daily Feeding Guidelines
When fed as a complete meal:
- Cats 4 lbs. and under – 1/2 cup
- Cats 4-6 lbs. – 2/3 cup
- Cats 6-8 lbs. – 3/4 cup
- Cats 8-10 lbs. – 1 cup
- Cats 10-14 lbs. – 1 1/4 cups
- Cats 14-18 lbs. – 1 1/3 cups
Optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size, breed, and activity level. Please refer to the feeding chart as an initial recommendation and adjust amounts based on your cat's individual needs. If fed as a complete meal for kittens and pregnant or lactating mothers, feed up to twice the amount indicated. Fresh water should be available at all times.
New Users: Sudden changes in diet, including overfeeding, can sometimes result in digestive issues. Always introduce any new food by slowly mixing with your pet's current diet for the first 7-10 days, increasing the amount of Open Farm while decreasing the amount of the other brand.
